Lawn Mower Exchange Program

Think "Clean" & Save Some Green!

Knozone is inviting Marion County residents to "think clean" by switching from gas to electric powered lawn mowers or hand tools in the lawn and garden; and to help them save some green.

Mow down pollution with Knozone at a lawnmower exchange event:

Saturday, April 26 from 9 am to 3 pm - Join Knozone for the Grand Opening of the Cardwell Garden Center.  Knozone and WIBC will be registering attendees to win a non-gas powered lawn and garden tool as well as providing a substantial discount on a clean air friendly electric powered lawn mower.

Saturday, May 3 from 11 am to 3 pm - Join Knozone at Sullivan Hardware and Garden at 71st & Keystone.  Knozone and WIBC will be registering attendees to win a non-gas powered lawn and garden tool as well as providing a substantial discount on a clean air friendly electric powered lawn mower.

This Saturday only, the first 10 customers to purchase an electric lawnmower at either of these two stores will receive a $100 discount coupon from Knozone to be used that day.

*** Not necessary to trade in your old mower***

Lawn care accounts for five percent of the nation's air pollution. A conventional mower produces as much pollution in one hour as 43 late model cars or driving 340 miles, say industry experts. Plus, an older gas-powered lawn mower pollutes as much in one year of typical use as a new car driven more than 86,000 miles.

Switching to a battery or electric-powered mower helps to reduce ground-level ozone and fine particle pollution, which improves the quality of air we all breathe. In addition, using electric lawn tools helps to reduce noise pollution and can be less expensive to run than gas-powered versions.
